Walking Under Ladders: A Book of Superstitions///

The idea for this book sprang from my interest in researching the history of superstitions. I compiled my findings into a collection of narratives about the origins (and sometimes inconsistencies) of twenty superstitions that I found most interesting. I enjoyed adding some tongue-in-cheek humor throughout, via running feet in the form of fortune cookies that list a new fortune on every page and three quirky collectible items at the back of the book. These include lucky four leaf clover stickers, a Garlic Mojo airfreshner, and a packet of friendship salt. All imagery is self-illustrated and is loosely inspired by the Victorian Era.
